Welcome to the Algeth’ar Academy dungeon guide. Here you will find the dungeon entrance location as well as a beginners map route around the dungeon and quick boss tactics.
This dungeon is available in Normal, Heroic and Mythic difficulties.
You can find the Algeth’ar Academy entrance within Thaldraszus, Dragon Isles.
The coordinates are (58.3,42.6)
Follow up the main stairways until you are at the second platform in Algeth’ar Academy and you will see dungeon entrance.

Quick Boss Tactics:
Soak orbs before they reach boss. Avoid frontal cone “Arcane Expulsion”. Players with “Mana Bomb” circle take to edges of room to drop off pools. “Arcane Fissure” does aoe & pushes you back.
Mythic Differences: After “Arcane Fissure” pushback keep moving to avoid swirls that spawn under your feet. (Mythic Only: If you get “Oversurge” players rotate soaking orbs as it increases your damage taken from orbs by 200% for 20sec).
Quick Boss Tactics:
Pick up balls & take to fire/wind circles. FIRE: avoid swirls & dps nuke boss during 12sec stun. WIND: dodge tornados, pick up an orb to remove pushback. Tank mitigate “Savage Peck”. Dodge frontal “Overpowering Gust”. Stop casting for “Deafening Screech”.
Mythic Differences: The fire swirls & wind/tornados continue for entire fight. “Deafening Screech” gives a stacking debuff increasing damage taken by 50%, remove by activating fire or wind goal.
Quick Boss Tactics:
Tank use mitigate “Barkbreaker”. Dodge brown swirls. Use defensives for “Burst Forth”. Gather up & focus dps lasher adds.
Heroic/Mythic Differences: Dodge large brown swirl that spawns a tree add, interrupt its “Healing Touch”. (Mythic Only: Lasher adds cast a stacking poison dot “Lasher Toxin”, cleave & focus kill quickly. When tree add dies stand in its green circle to remove “Splinterbark” debuff).
Quick Boss Tactics:
Dodge frontal cone “Astral Breath”. Players with “Energy Bomb” circle stay away from others before explodes. Pulls players in with “Power Vacuum”, run away.
Heroic/Mythic Differences: At 3 stacks of “Overwhelming Power” run circles to edge of room, these spawn orbs to dodge. (Mythic Only: Spawns 2 pools that stay during fight & spawn orbs).
